Primary & General Election Voting Information 2026

For the Primary  and General Elections you will vote on candidates for the MN Governor & Lt. Governor and other statewide races, U.S. Senate, U.S. House, and the MN Senate and MN House. 
You may also have local elections for your county commissioner, city council, school board and/or judicial races.

Primary Election: Tuesday, August 11, 2026
Primary Election early voting: June 26, 2026, to August 10, 2026

General Election: Tuesday, November 3, 2026.

1.) PRINT the Absentee Ballot Application Form on your home printer. Or complete the online absentee application

2.) MAIL in your completed form to the Anoka County Elections Office (if you printed the application)

3.) RECEIVE your ballot which will be mailed directly to your home

5.) MAIL your completed Ballot back to the Anoka County Elections Office as soon as possible
 
6.) TRACK the status of your ballot and confirm that it was received and counted
